Anchored in the Blue Ridge and Great Smoky Mountains, NC-11 is one of the most reliably Republican districts in the Southeast, returning margins above 20 points in recent presidential cycles as rural Appalachian communities dominate the electorate.
Across the recorded series it reached a Republican high of fifteen points in 2016. Between 2020 and 2024 the district moved two points toward the Democratic candidate; the 2024 margin was nine points.
A population of 769,992, a 84% non-Hispanic-white share, and a median household income of $65,630 describe the district.
